The 4th International Exchange Conference on New Energy Vehicles and Power Batteries (CIBF2023) will be grandly opened in Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center on May 16. The theme of the conference is "New Cycle · New Application - Innovation and Expansion of Power Batteries", which aims to show the new development and cutting-edge technology product trends of lithium batteries, sodium batteries and new energy battery industries, and promote exchanges and cooperation between domestic and foreign enterprises and academia. The exhibition will focus on showcasing global power batteries, energy storage batteries, 3C batteries, charging and swapping equipment and supporting facilities, hydrogen and fuel cells, various battery materials, manufacturing equipment, power and energy storage system solutions.

On May 16, as the highlight of the sodium electricity industry in this exhibition, Betray, a global cutting-edge enterprise of new energy battery materials, released in Shenzhen the hard carbon anode material of Sodium-ion battery - sodium detection 350 and sodium ion battery cathode material - sodium oxide B.
Dr. Li Zikun of the Academia Sinica of Beiteri introduced at the press conference that the specific capacity of the "sodium detection 350" material can reach 350mAh/g, the first charge and discharge efficiency can reach 90%, the specific capacity of the Beina O3B material can reach 145mAh/g, and the compaction density is greater than 3.4g/cc, which will greatly improve the capacity and cycle life of the sodium battery, and significantly improve the charging efficiency and extremely low temperature performance.
Betterly said that the energy density of cell cell equipped with positive and negative electrode materials of Betterly Sodium-ion battery reached 160Wh/kg, four times that of lead-acid battery, and the ultra long cycle was 3000 weeks, six times that of lead-acid battery, realizing a 5-minute fast charge, and it can still be used normally under the extremely low temperature environment of -40 ° C.

Toppon held a new energy product press conference at the International Battery Technology Exhibition (CIBF2023), which announced that the nominal capacity of Sodium-ion battery is 9.0Ah, the nominal voltage is 3.0V, the voltage range is 1.5-4.0V, the energy density is 120Wh/kg, and the cycle life is more than 2500 times. The discharge capacity of the Sodium-ion battery is close to 80% at -40 ℃, which can realize 3C charging and 5C discharge at the same time. The charge time is 20 minutes, and the power can reach more than 90%. Compared with ordinary lithium ion battery, the cost of raw materials of the Sodium-ion battery can be reduced by about 50% for the positive electrode, 20% for the negative electrode, 15% for the electrolyte, 10% for the collector, and about 30% for the total cost of raw materials. Toppon said that in the third quarter of this year, global mass production and delivery will be started. At the same time, Toppon Sodium-ion battery will accelerate iteration in energy density, cycle life and other aspects to meet the growing market demand of customers. From the perspective of long-term planning, by 2025, Toppon Sodium-ion battery can achieve energy density ≥ 160Wh/kg, and cycle life ≥ 6000 times, leading the industry reform.
❖Guoke Charcoal Beauty

At the cibf battery exhibition, Guoke Charcoal launched three categories of sodium hard carbon products: GHC-A, GHC-B, and GHC-C, creating stable, low-cost, high-performance products for different application scenarios. Once launched, they were highly sought after by the market and investors.
So far, Guoke Tanmei has completed a pilot scale of ten tons and plans to conduct industrial demonstrations of thousands of tons. We are currently working on engineering design and expect to be completed and put into operation in mid August.
❖Changhong Sanjie
At the CIBF2023 International Battery Exhibition, Changhong Sanjie officially debuted with cylindrical sodium ion INaR18650-1300mah power batteries, ushering in a new era in the field of electric tools and 3C. Currently, it has been widely used in the foreign electric tool market. It has such performance advantages as fast charging (10 C), low temperature (30 C), long life cycle (more than 1500 weeks) and high safety characteristics (Sodium-ion battery property). After industrialization, its cost will also be far lower than that of lithium ion battery.
Changhong Sanjie's newly developed sodium ion large cylindrical battery INaR26700-3300mah power battery has completed sample testing and will be widely used in new energy low-speed two wheeled vehicles and small household energy storage fields, replacing some lead-acid batteries and lithium-ion batteries to provide power.
❖Haisida
On April 22 this year, Haisida launched STAR series sodium battery products and three Sodium-ion battery products named after Xingyao I, Xingyao II and Xingyuan. As a pioneer in the application of Sodium-ion battery, Histar launched Sodium-ion battery solutions at cibf2023, including square sodium battery 70/80Ah, 1300 cylindrical battery cells and other Sodium-ion battery, which can be widely adapted to special vehicles, excellent sightseeing vehicles, home storage, industrial and commercial storage, communication energy storage and other scenarios. This series of products has six major advantages, including long lifespan, wide temperature range, high magnification, high safety, low cost, and collinearity. In fact, the advantages of Haisida's layout of sodium electricity have already been demonstrated. Among them, 80Ah square sodium electric star Yao II has taken the lead in supporting household storage products; The 70Ah square sodium battery Xingyao I has been successfully applied in small power markets such as electric forklifts and golf carts. Sample delivery of battery cells/PACK was completed in the first half of 2023, small-scale trial was conducted in the second half of 2023, and large-scale commercial use was carried out in 2024.
❖Huana New Energy
In cibf2023, Warner New Energy launched HP, MH and HE cathode materials for Sodium-ion battery, which use layered Transition metal oxides with better comprehensive performance. Through the innovative design of the material structure, it achieves better performance, meets the differentiated needs of the Sodium-ion battery market segment, and achieves multi scene coverage in energy storage, power battery and other applications.
HP is a high power Sodium-ion battery cathode material, with high voltage sharing, rate of charge and discharge up to 20C, and more than 5000 cycles; At -20 ℃, the capacity retention rate is greater than 90%, suitable for electric tools, automotive start stop power supplies, and energy storage fields.
MH is a medium and high energy Sodium-ion battery cathode material with a gram capacity of more than 130mAh/g and more than 3000 cycles. It is suitable for electric bicycles, Electric trike, elderly scooters, mini electric passenger vehicles and other fields.
HE is a high-energy positive electrode material for Sodium-ion battery, with a capacity of 160mAh/g and energy density equivalent to Lithium iron phosphate positive electrode material, which is expected to be used in electric passenger vehicles, buses, logistics vehicles and other fields.
At present, Warner New Energy 500 ton production line has been launched in Jinan, and Sodium-ion battery cathode materials have achieved mass production.
